Rapid technology is the race that that cannot be defeated. It is definitely one of the fastest growing success of our time. But not only has it devastated some social life’s it has put a strain on print journalism. Journalism is a broad word. You have anything from broadcast journalism to online journalism, which has had major successes since technology evaporated. It is much easier to access things online or to be aware of what’s going on in our world today. Simple alerts can even easily be sent to your blackberry with a click of a button. I do not believe it is better than print journalism though. It is so much more personal on a piece of paper rather than a screen and you’re more likely to read more news on paper than online. Ironically enough technology is putting print journalism at a downfall. It is wonderful that there are many outlets to get your daily news but people are no longer interested in waiting for the local newspaper to arrive but, instead interested in the fast pace the web has to offer. In report done by Dan Collins named Journalism at Crossroads he mentions how fast pace our network is working and doesn’t know if things like television and newspapers will last. The media trend has taken over and it has no expectancy to end anytime soon. As long as things are done fast, people will retain it. Hopefully we do keep the simple things around like newspapers.
